A man broke into the Phoenix Bar & Grill, located at 4 Ayer Road in Shirley, on Sunday, June 25 at approximately 3 a.m., according to the Shirley Police Department.

A passerby noticed that something was not right and alerted the police, according to a post on the Phoenix Bar & Grill's Facebook page.

The man stole several items but was captured on the eatery's CCTV system.

He was seen to have a "distinct" neck tattoo.

Fans of the restaurant expressed sadness at the crime. A few commenters tried to help by working to identify the make and model of the vehicle pictured.

"I'm thinking the vehicle in question is a 2001-2007 (1st generation) Toyota Highlander," wrote one commenter on the Phoenix Bar & Grill's post. "Notice: the subtle flare over the rear wheel arch blending into the taillight, the 6-spoke alloy wheels, and the (somewhat rare) integrated rocker panel step bars/running boards. I hope this helps!"

"A huge thank you to the quick response, all their efforts to help capture this thief, and to all the brave officers that work to keep our community safe," the restaurant wrote on Facebook.

Police ask that anyone with information about the incident call (978) 425-2642 x102.
